Homo Ludens presents Athens Drama Walk, an innovative application that explores the world of ancient Greek drama through an interactive walking tour in the historic center of Athens.
The application is part of the Athens Games Trilogy, a series of three digital city games that combine cultural exploration, learning, and play. It has been created with the support of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, as part of the «Creative Greece – Digital Cultural Actions 2024» program.
A 40-minute Journey Through Ancient Athens
Athens Drama Walk offers a unique cultural walk through the historical center of Athens, following the ancient route along Tripodon Street to the Theatre of Dionysus, where Athenians once attended dramatic performances.
During the tour, participants will encounter:
- The three forms of ancient drama: tragedy, comedy, and satyr play
- Great playwrights such as Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, Aristophanes, and Menander
- Elements of dramatic poetry and behind-the-scenes insights into ancient theatre
- Key theatrical landmarks in the city of Athens

Athens Games Trilogy – Playing with History
Athens Drama Walk is the first release in the Athens Games Trilogy, a playful cultural adventure across the city. The trilogy also includes:
- Socrates’ Legacy Quest – a philosophical challenge inspired by the teachings of Socrates
- Create Your Myth in Athens – a creative mythology game powered by AI
