Christiana Kazakou

Christiana Kazakou is an interdisciplinary researcher, curator, and producer whose practice discourses the dialogue between art, science, and technology. Her research focuses on curatorial models and spatial trajectories of collaboration, investigating the role of space as a dynamic environment for encounter, exchange, and co-production of knowledge. Through research platforms, exhibitions, and international collaborations, she develops ecosystems that bridge artistic research, scientific inquiry, and technological innovation.
In 2024, she completed her PhD in Digital Art & Technology at i-DAT (Institute of Digital Art & Technology), University of Plymouth, funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC), UK. She holds an MA in Art & Science (2013) from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, as well as a Master’s degree in Arts Management. Since 2013, she has been professionally active in projects and organisations that connect art with science, technology, and society, collaborating with organisations and research groups internationally.
She has served on international organising and scientific committees, contributing to the development of conferences, peer reviewing, research programs, and curatorial initiatives of global scope. She is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Plymouth and Associate Editor of an interdisciplinary academic journal at the institution. In parallel, she serves as Program Engagement Specialist for Leonardo/ISAST and the international LASER Talks network, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and community-building across more than 60 cities and five continents.
