Garryfalia Terizaki has been a public-sector kindergarten teacher since 2001 and in recent years has been seconded to a public library, where she designs and delivers reading-promotion programs, cultural initiatives, and experiential workshops for both children and adults.
She studied Theatre Education and Directing/Acting at the Open University of Cyprus, focusing on the intersection of literature, storytelling, and theatre as a learning and aesthetic experience. Her master’s thesis explores the application of the Stanislavski system within reading-promotion programs.

She designs and implements reading initiatives, coordinates book clubs and cultural festivals, and draws on drama-based learning, creative writing, visual arts, and narrative practices. Her work has been recognized by the Greek Children’s Book Circle (IBBY Greece), and for the 2024–2026 term she served as a member of the organization’s jury committee.

She is a member of the editorial team of the online children’s literature magazine Kokkini Alepou (“Red Fox”) and of the Kalamata Society for the Protection of Minors (EPA). Her interests revolve around picture books, with or without words, and theatre, as she continuously seeks new ways to connect them through experiential and collective storytelling practices.
